These release notes describe new features added and bugs fixed since the V4.9.6 release.

  software.
- Corrected a problem related to the 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 and
  Windows Server 2008.
- Corrected a minor problem with error reporting on the virtual COM port.
- Corrected a rare problem where the "Use Windows Credentials" feature would
  malfunction on first login after reboot.

- Fixes an issue with the COM port locking up during the opening sequence

+ Adds support for failover to backup device servers for each virtual COM
port.
+ Adds new Advanced Option "Attempt Server Connection" specifying a timeout
value to be enforced by the redirector when connecting to device servers.
+ Includes OpenSSL patch preventing RSA Signature Forgery (CVE-2006-4339). 
(OpenSSL software runs only if the Tactical Software license key enables
encryption.)

+ Adds a workaround to prevent a BSOD crash of Symantec / Norton software

+ The encryption protocol used is now selectable between SSL v3 and TLS v1.
+ The version of OpenSSL used to provide encryption has been updated to 0.9.7d.
- Data loss due to the forced port closing is fixed.
