Secure Credit Card Payments Using the Internet: KMPS(Korea Mobile Payment Service)

Sena has supplied the POSLink100 to one of the top five national companies providing credit card payment services: KMPS.

The POSLink100 is an serial-Ethernet conversion device which connects the legacy payment terminals to Internet. For the secure credit card payment transactions, the SSL(Secure Socket Layer) data security function is provided.

By connecting the credit card payment gadget that has originally been connected by leased-lines to high-speed broadband Internet networks such as ADSL or Cable, KMPS is now able to provide the credit card payment services through high-speed Internet networks that are increasingly becoming inexpensive compared to leased-line circuits that are more high-priced and somewhat halted in terms of installation.

Furthermore, the merchandises have been able to operate credit card transaction services with low-cost fixed-rate Internet fees and with higher speed.

Providing TCP/IP network capability to the Industrial serial devices: IALink100, IALink100-Modbus

Sena introduces the IALink series, which gives the remote management capability to the industrial serial devices by connecting them to the Ethernet network.

These products support 10Base-T Ethernet, RS232/422/485, DIN-Rail mount, as well as 7.5~30VDC power supply. The IALink100 connects industrial usage serial devices to the Ethernet or broadband Internet, while providing 3DES data encryption.

The IALink100-Modbus is a Modbus/TCP Gateway product for the Modbus-Serial devices that supports Modbus/TCP, one of the standards for using fieldbus
protocol on the Ethernet.
It enables users to manage
various kinds of industrial
devices such as PLC, sensors
, motors, etc. through
network.

By connecting the
industrial devices to the
TCP/IP network, the IALink
series will give more flexible
interoperability between
industrial automation
system in the factory floor
and the business automa-
tion system in the office.

Affordable remote management enabler for the PBX system

PBX is a device which manages the connection between telephone lines established within edifices and external telephone lines.

For the configuration of the telephone network or maintenance tasks, serial console port is provided in the PBX equipment.
By connecting this port to modems or laptop computers, the set-up and the maintenance tasks have been originally performed. Day by day, as the TCP/IP networks are expanded, there is increasing demand for remote management of PBX through the TCP/IP network.

The establishment of such a system is achievable by using HelloDevice and HelloDevice VirtualCOM. The remote location maintenance/repair of PBX through the TCP/IP network may be done by connecting HelloDevice to the serial console port of the PBX, installing the HelloDevice VirtualCOM, COM-Port Redirector to a remote PC.

From the system administrators¡¯ point of view, technical maintenance visit costs are substantially reduced, while systematic management and efficiency increases, since 24-hour management is made possible even from a remote location.
